Peru Stocks: Alicorp, Edegel, Pacasmayo, Siderperu, Relapasa

The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 1:27 p.m. New York time.

The Lima General Index fell for a second session, declining 2 percent to 19,346.96. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index declined 0.7 percent to 2,479.78.

Industrial stocks and utilities slumped because of investor uncertainty over the policies of President-elect Ollanta Humala, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru. Humala takes office July 28.

Edegel SA (EDEGELC1 PE), the Peruvian unit of Spain’s Endesa SA, fell 3.7 percent to 1.80 soles after state power board president Cesar Butron said Peru may face electricity rationing next year. Empresa Siderurgica del Peru SAA (SIDERC1) (SIDERC1 PE), the Gerdau SA unit known as Siderperu, dropped 3.6 percent to 1.35 soles. Cementos Pacasmayo SAA (CPACASC1) (CPACASC1 PE), the Hochschild Group’s cement producer, slid 3.1 percent to 6.30 soles. Alicorp SA (ALICORC1) (ALICORC1 PE), Peru’s largest foodstuff maker, fell 2.7 percent to 5.45 soles. Luz del Sur (LUSURC1 PE), Peru’s largest electricity distributor, dropped 2.4 percent to 6.50 soles.

Fuel refiners dropped after crude futures in New York declined.

Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, fell 3.6 percent to 80 cents. Refineria la Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), a unit of Spain’s Repsol YPF SA known as Relapasa, dropped 2.9 percent to 1.69 soles.
