Nigeria Closes Amnesty for Niger Delta Militants, Vanguard Says

A Nigerian government amnesty for militants in the oil-rich Niger River delta has ended, Vanguard newspaper reported, citing Kingsley Kuku, a presidential adviser on the region.
More than 26,000 fighters were pardoned under the program since it started in 2009, the Lagos-based newspaper said.
