Florida Marlins Manager Edwin Rodriguez Resigns After Ninth Straight Loss

Florida Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez resigned today after the team lost a ninth straight Major League Baseball game yesterday.

Bench coach Brandon Hyde will take charge of today’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, the Marlins said in a statement on their website. The search for an interim coach gets under way today, the team said, citing President of Baseball Operations Larry Beinfest.
