Alarko Holding, DemirDokum: Turkey Equity Market Preview

Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 index rose 177.82, or 0.3 percent, to 61,116.74 yesterday.

Alarko Holding AS (ALARK) : The Turkish builder will start constructing a 1,200-megawatt thermal power plant with Cengiz Insaat at a cost of $1.5 billion by the end of this year, Vatan reported, citing Ayhan Yavrucu, Alarko’s chief executive officer. The companies are in talks to secure financing, Yavrucu said, according to the Istanbul-based newspaper said. Alarko fell 3 kurus, or 0.9 percent, to 3.28 liras.

Turk DemirDokum Fabrikalari AS (TUDDF TI): The Turkish heating equipment and air conditioner manufacturer owned by Vaillant GmbH & Co. of Germany targets 34 million liras ($21 million) of investments this year, Hurriyet reported, citing Erdem Ertuna, DemirDokum sales and marketing director. DemirDokum gained 20 kurus, or 1.1 percent, to 17.75 liras.
