Vietnam’s Stocks: Sacombank Securities, Societe de Bourbon

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell less than 0.1 percent to 441.45.

Sacombank Securities Joint-Stock Co. (SBS VN) sank 4 percent to 9,600 dong. Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (STB VN) cut its stake in the brokerage to 49 percent from 56 percent, according to a statement on the bourse’s website. Sacombank, as the lender is known, decreased 0.8 percent to 11,900 dong.

Societe de Bourbon Tay Ninh Joint-Stock Co. (SBT VN), the country’s biggest listed sugar company, dropped 3.7 percent to 10,500 dong. Sacombank Securities plans to cut its stake in the company to 4.3 percent from 9.2 percent between June 17 and Aug. 17, it said in a filing with the exchange.
