GE, Trilliant, AES Eletropaulo to Test Smart Meters in Sao Paulo

General Electric Co. (GE), Trilliant Inc. and AES Eletropaulo will test smart grid systems in Sao Paulo.

The GE smart meters will send information on energy use through Trilliant’s wireless communication network to AES Eletropaulo’s data management center, the Fairfield, Connecticut-based power equipment maker said yesterday in a statement.

The meters will be installed at some of the 5.9 million residences and commercial buildings connected to AES Eletropaulo’s power distribution network.
