Posco Completes Ship-Plate Processing Plant in China

Posco (005490), the world’s third-biggest steelmaker by output, said it has completed the construction of its first ship-plate processing plant outside South Korea.

The plant located in the city of Dalian can process a total of 400,000 metric tons per year of heavy plates used mainly in shipbuilding as well as hot-rolled sheets, the Pohang, South Korea-based company said in an e-mailed statement today.
