Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. (293) plans to order as many as 15 freighter planes to meet its needs for 2013 to 2018, the South China Morning Post said, citing Nick Rhodes, general manager of the carrier’s cargo unit.
The airline is considering the freighter variants of the Airbus A330 and Boeing Co. (BA)’s 777 and 747-8, the Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper reported today. Cathay is in talks with plane and engine manufacturers, the Post said.
