Russia Envoy to Meet With Libyan Government Officials in Tripoli

Russia’s envoy to Africa, Mikhail Margelov, plans to fly to Libya’s capital this week for meetings with government officials, his spokeswoman, Varvara Paal, said today by telephone from Moscow.

No meeting is scheduled with Libyan Leader Muammar Qaddafi, though Margelov is eager to meet with him if asked to do so by the Kremlin, she said, confirming an earlier report by Interfax.
