Gulf Stocks: Advanced Petrochemicals and Combined Group
Dubai’s DFM General Index (DFMGI) rose 0.4 percent at the 2 p.m. close in Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s ADX General Index (ADSMI) gained 0.3 percent. Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index (SASEIDX) advanced 0.5 percent.
The following stocks rose or fell in the Persian Gulf region. Symbols are in parentheses.
Advanced Petrochemicals Co. (APPC) increased for a second day, rising 0.6 percent to 33.7 riyals. The Saudi Arabian chemicals producer will pay a 1-riyal dividend for the first half of the year.
Combined Group Contracting Co. (CGC) rose for the first time since June 7, climbing 1.1 percent to 1,820 fils. The construction company plans to expand operations in Saudi Arabia and Qatar after Kuwait postponed a $2.6 billion road-building contract the company sought in partnership with Hyundai Engineering & Construction.
