EON’s Gas-Fed Plant in Grain Starts Producing Power

A unit at EON AG’s natural gas- fueled power station at the Isle of Grain in southeast England started today, grid data show.

One unit started commercial production today, Jonathan Smith, a Coventry, England-based spokesman, said by telephone today.

The 1,275-megawatt station started testing last October and was due to begin commercial power deliveries to the grid by the end of March.
