Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close.
The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, gained for a second day, adding 0.2 percent to 445.
Cables & Telecommunications Material Joint-Stock Co. (SAM VN), a maker of cable products, known as Sacom, rose 4.4 percent to 14,200 dong. Sacom will give bonus shares to investors on June 22, it said in a statement filed on the exchange’s Web site. The company will give its investors one bonus share for every existing share, it said. The company has 929 million shares outstanding, according to Bloomberg data.
Everpia Vietnam Join-Stock (EVE VN), a trader of fabric, garments and accessories, jumped by the daily limit of 5 percent, the most since May 19, to 25,200 dong. The Hanoi-based company plans to buy back 1 million of shares from June 15, it said in a statement on the exchange’s website.
Investment Commerce Fisheries Joint-Stock Co. (ICF VN), a seafood producer and trader known as Incomfish, surged 4.3 percent to 7,300 dong. Incomfish plans to pay a dividend of 1,300 dong a share on July 7, according to company figures posted on the exchange’s Web site.
An Pha Petroleum Group Joint-Stock Co. (ASP VN), a liquefied petroleum gas importer and trader, gained for a seventh straight day, rising 4.8 percent to 6,600 dong. An Pha will buy back 1.03 million shares from June 15, according to a statement on the bourse’s website.
