Air France, BNP, Cybergun, Gifi, Sopra: French Equity Preview
The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
France’s CAC 40 Index fell 0.9 percent to 3,837.98. The broader SBF 120 Index also declined 0.9 percent to 2,901.94.
Air France-KLM (AF) Group: Europe’s biggest airline said it had a 4.9 percent increase in May passenger traffic from a year earlier and a 1.4 percent decline in cargo traffic. The shares fell 2.4 percent to 10.80 euros.
BNP Paribas (BNP) : Ageas (AGS BB) and BGL BNP Paribas agreed to merge their jointly-owned Luxembourg life insurance unit with Cardif Lux International, the Luxembourg life insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas Cardif. BNP Paribas declined 0.8 percent to 52.21 euros.
Cybergun SA (CYB FP): The maker of plastic guns said full year net income rose to 4 million euros ($5.8 million) from 3 million euros a year earlier. The shares fell 0.3 percent to 14.01 euros.
Gifi (IGF) : The discount chain maintained its full year objectives after first-half net income declined to 23.8 million euros from 27.9 million euros a year earlier. The shares were unchanged at 82.29 euros.
Plastivaloire (PVL) : The manufacturer of plastics for cars and fittings for flat-screen TVs said first-half net income rose to 42.7 million euros from 3.4 million euros a year earlier. The shares declined 0.2 percent to 24.75 euros.
Sopra Group SA (SOP) : The consulting and computer- services company said shareholders approved the exceptional distribution of share premiums and reserves in the form of 3.92 euros in cash and the project to spin off Axway. The shares gained 0.3 percent to 84.60 euros.
