Marv Albert Joins CBS Sports as Play-by-Play Announcer on NFL Telecasts

Marv Albert is bringing “Yesss!” back to the National Football League.

Albert, 69, has joined CBS Sports as a play-by-play announcer on NFL telecasts, the network announced today.

Albert’s catchphrase of “Yesss!” has been heard on broadcasts of football, basketball, hockey and even Wimbledon tennis. He did NFL games on NBC for 19 years and was the play- by-play voice of league games on Westwood One radio’s “Monday Night Football” from 2002 through 2009.

Albert’s son Kenny is an NFL play-by-play announcer on News Corp.’s Fox network.

CBS announced Albert’s hiring in a news release. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
