Raffles Medical Plans to Open Clinic in Osaka, Nikkei Reports
Raffles Medical Group Ltd. (RFMD) plans to open a medical clinic in Osaka to meet demand from wealthy Asian travelers and foreign business people, The Nikkei newspaper reported.
The Singapore-based health care provider is in talks with Hanshin Electric Railway Co., a local railway operator, and a real estate developer owned by Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Inc. (9042) to set up the clinic, mostly likely in the Umeda business district, Nikkei reported, without saying where it got the information.
The Osaka clinic, to be staffed by English-speaking doctors and nurses, would be the company’s first in Japan, the report said.
