Renault Appoints Tavares as Automaker’s Operating Chief to Succeed Pelata

Renault SA (RNO) appointed Carlos Tavares to succeed Patrick Pelata as chief operating officer, the company said in an e-mailed statement today.

Tavares, a senior executive at Renault affiliate Nissan Motor Co., will assume his new duties by July 1, the Renault statement said. The development of French production sites will be “a priority,” the statement added.
