Qatar General Electricity, Waha Capital: Gulf Equity Preview

The following stocks may rise or fall in Persian Gulf markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.

Dubai’s DFM General Index (DFMGI) advanced 0.7 percent, the most since May 18, while Abu Dhabi’s ADX General Index (ADSMI) rose 0.4 percent. QE Index (DSM) of Qatar lost 0.3 percent.

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corp. (QEWS QD): Ras Girtas Power Co. plans to bid on a project to expand the 2,730 megawatt Ras Laffan C power plant, which reached full capacity last month, chief executive officer Faisal Al Siddiqi said. Bids are due at Qatar General at the end of July, he said. Qatar General shares dropped 0.3 percent to 144.5 riyals.

Waha Capital PJSC (WAHA) : The board of the leasing company will meet today. The shares were unchanged at 67 fils.
