Wolseley Plans 300 Million-Pound Sale of U.K. Units, Times Says

Wolseley Plc (WOS), a supplier of heating and plumbing products, is selling three of its U.K. businesses for an expected 300 million pounds ($495 million), the Sunday Times reported, without saying where it got the information.

Wolseley has hired Bank of America Corp. (BAC) to advise on the sale of Building Center, Electric Center and Encon, the London- based newspaper said. Construction-supply companies Travis Perkins Plc (TPK), Grafton Group Plc (GN5) and Cie. de Saint-Gobain SA have registered their interest in the businesses, the Times reported.
