Net income declined to 34 million euros from 181 million euros a year earlier. -Vivendi SA (VIV) said it signed a 5 billion-euro loan facility with 17 banks related to its purchase of a 44 percent stake in French mobile phone operator SFR.

MARKETS: *The CAC 40 Index fell 0.7 percent to 3989.82. *The broader SBF 120 Index retreated 0.7 percent to 30066.25.
