Minister Baird Says Canada’s Next Parliament to Resume Sitting on June 2

Canada’s House of Commons will resume sitting on June 2, John Baird, the Canadian government’s House Leader, said today.

The newly-elected members of parliament will elect a speaker on June 2, and Stephen Harper’s Conservative government will outline its priorities in a so-called Speech from the Throne on June 3, Baird said, speaking to reporters in Ottawa.
