Tiger Woods Withdraws From Players Championship After 6-Over for 9 Holes

Tiger Woods withdrew from the Players Championship today after nine holes of the first round.

Woods, in his first event since last month’s Masters Tournament, had skipped recent competitions because of knee and ankle injuries.

He shot a 6-over-par 42 on the first nine at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
