Nassau Coliseum to Be Replaced With New Arena for NHL’s New York Islanders

Long Island’s hockey team the Islanders are to get a new arena, said New York’s Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano at a press conference today.

The sports complex will include a baseball stadium and will replace Nassau Coliseum, he said. The proposed development will go to a referendum planned for Aug. 1.
