Hawks Beat Bulls 100-88 to Tie NBA Playoff Series at Two Games Apiece

The Atlanta Hawks beat the Chicago Bulls 100-88 to tie their National Basketball Association second-round playoff series at two games apiece.

Joe Johnson scored 24 points and Josh Smith added 23 for the Hawks, who outscored the Bulls 16-4 over the final 4:31 to snap an 84-84 tie at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

The best-of-seven series now shifts back to Chicago for Game 5 on May 10. Derrick Rose scored 34 points to lead the Bulls, the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Dallas Mavericks beat the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers 122-86 earlier today to complete a four-game sweep of their Western Conference series.
