Bank of America Hires JPMorgan’s Alan Todd for CMBS Research

Bank of America Corp. (BAC) hired Alan Todd from JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) to head commercial-mortgage bond research.

Todd, 38, who will be based in New York, will report to Chris Flanagan, the head of U.S. mortgages and structured finance research, Bank of America said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.

Todd had headed U.S. commercial mortgage-backed-securities research at JPMorgan since 2005, according to the statement. Ed Reardon, who has been with JPMorgan since 2000, will take the role of lead CMBS strategist, according to bank spokeswoman Sarah Stipicevic. He previously focused on non-agency mortgage- backed securities.
