Contracts on OAO Gazprom, the natural-gas export monopoly, rose 0.1 percent. Contracts on OAO Lukoil, the country’s second- biggest oil producer, gained 0.2 percent, while contracts on OAO Sberbank, Russia’s largest lender, advanced 0.1 percent.
The Market Vectors Russia ETF, a U.S.-traded fund that holds Russian shares, rose 3.5 percent.
