Emerson Electric Says Tornado Tore Down Alabama Plant

(Corrects number of damaged facilities in first paragraph.)

Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) said a tornado destroyed one of its factories in Rainsville, Alabama, and left two other plants without full electrical power.

The destroyed plant had 67 employees, spokesman Mark Polzin said in an e-mail. It was part of the company’s Industrial Automation division and made transformers, Polzin said.
