Alvarion Ltd. (ALVR) : The maker of wireless telecommunications equipment said its first-quarter loss widened to $14.5 million from $4.9 million a year earlier. Alvarion climbed 1 percent to 5.765 shekels.
Perrigo Co. (PRGO) : The maker of over-the-counter drugs received a final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its abbreviated new drug application for over-the-counter Minoxidil foam, a generic version of Men’s Rogaine Foam, a hair-growth treatment. Perrigo, which is scheduled to report fiscal third-quarter results today, declined 0.6 percent to 299.50 shekels.
Ratio Oil Exploration 1992 LP (RATIL) : The oil and gas explorer is offering up to 500 million partnership units at 0.44 shekel each. Ratio was unchanged at 0.452 shekel.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) : The world’s largest maker of generic drugs plans to acquire Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry Co. for about 40 billion yen ($490 million), the Nikkei newspaper reported yesterday. Teva rose 3.5 percent to 161.20 shekels.
