Altron, Bell Equipment and Metair Could Move: South African Equity Preview
The following stocks may rise or fall in South Africa. Symbols are in parenthesis and prices are from the last close.
The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index fell 510.40, or 1.6 percent, to 32,325.83 at the 5 p.m. close in Johannesburg, the lowest since April 19.
Allied Electronics Corp. Ltd. (ATN SJ): The investment company with interests in communications equipment and power cables reports earnings for the year ended Feb. 28. The shares rose 46 cents, or 1.6 percent, to 29.26 rand.
Bell Equipment Ltd. (BEL) : The handling machinery manufacturer holds its annual general meeting at 11 a.m. The stock retreated 5 cents, or 0.4 percent, to 13.35 rand.
Metair Investments Ltd. (MTA) : The holding company for a group that manufactures and supplies auto components holds its annual general meeting at 2 p.m. The stock added 9 cents, or 0.6 percent, to 13.92 rand.
