Emera Inc. (EMA) : The owner of Nova Scotia Power is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings. The average profit forecast among seven analysts in a Bloomberg survey is 68 Canadian cents a share, excluding certain items.
Midway Energy Ltd. (MEL) : The western Canadian oil and gas producer received an “outperform” rating in new coverage from Jim Byrne, an analyst at Bank of Montreal. In a note to clients, Byrne wrote that the shares are less expensive than those of similar companies.
Suncor Energy Inc. (SU) : Canada’s biggest oil and gas producer is scheduled to release first-quarter financial results at 12:30 a.m. in Calgary. Analysts forecast the company will report profit of 77 Canadian cents a share, excluding certain items, according to the average of 16 analyst forecasts in a Bloomberg survey.
