Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL), Colombia’s largest oil company, said it fixed an oil pipeline damaged by mudslides in Guaduas, north of Bogota.
Ecopetrol has begun pumping fuel through the pipeline and it should reach the capital by the weekend, a spokesman who asked not to be named according to company policy said in a telephone interview today. Colombia’s aviation agency said in a statement yesterday Bogota’s international airport was facing jet fuel shortages because of the damage in the pipeline.
