Aygaz AS (AYGAZ), the Turkish distributor of liquefied petroleum gas, is interested in Istanbul municipality’s planned auction to sell its gas grid Igdas, Haberturk newspaper reported, citing Aygaz Chief Executive Officer Yagiz Eyuboglu.
Aygaz may also bid in auctions expected from state pipeline company Botas to transfer its six billion cubic meters of natural gas import contracts with OAO Gazprom to non-state companies, Eyuboglu said, according to Haberturk. Aygaz is also interested in the sale of assets of Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (AKENR), an energy company owned by Czech CEZ and Turkish Akkok group, according to the Istanbul-based newspaper.
