Jess Jackson, Owner of Racehorses Rachel Alexandra, Curlin, Dies at Age 81

Jess Jackson, owner of the Preakness Stakes-winning filly Rachel Alexandra, died at age 81 of cancer, according to a statement from his family.

Jackson, the founder of Kendall-Jackson winery, also owned Curlin, winner of the Horse of the Year award in 2007 and 2008.
