The SET Index rose 6.06, or 0.6 percent, to 1,090.97. The exchange was closed from April to April 15 for public holidays.
Finansa Pcl (FNS) , a financial company, fell 5.3 percent to 4.62 baht, poised for the biggest decline since Jan. 24. Fitch Ratings (Thailand) revised its BBB long-term rating outlook to negative from stable.
PTT Pcl (PTT) , the largest energy company, rose 1.6 percent to 377 baht, poised for its highest close since April 7. Oil has gained 2.6 percent in New York since April 12, the last time PTT shares traded.
Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA) , the biggest rubber producer, slid 1.5 percent to 32.25 baht, heading for its biggest drop since March 24. Thai Rubber Latex Corp. (Thailand) Pcl (TRUBB TB) dropped 0.8 percent to 6.45 baht, the most since March 31. Rubber futures in Tokyo slumped for a fifth day after China increased banks’ reserve requirements to lock up cash and cool inflation, raising concern demand from the world’s biggest consumer may weaken.
