Dallas Mavericks Beat Portland Trail Blazers 89-81 in NBA Playoff Series

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 89-81 in the first round of the National Basketball Association playoffs.

The Mavericks have a one-game advantage in the Western Conference best-of-seven series.

Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 28 points and 10 rebounds and Jason Kidd added 24 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

LaMarcus Aldridge was high scorer for the Trail Blazers with 27 points.
