Germany Froze $6 Billion of Libyan State Funds, Spiegel Says

The German government froze $6 billion of Libyan state funds over the last few weeks, Der Spiegel reported today on its website, citing a memo written by Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle.

Bruederle wants Libyan government money seized from accounts across Europe to be transferred to the United Nations, the report said.
