Capitals Defeat New York Rangers 2-0, Take Two-Game Lead in Playoff Series

Michal Neuvirth stopped 22 shots for his first playoff shutout and the Washington Capitals defeated the New York Rangers 2-0 tonight to take a two-games- to-none lead in their National Hockey League playoff series.

Jason Chimera and Jason Arnott scored in a two-minute span of the second period for the Capitals.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven first-round series is set for April 17 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
