Billionaire Fund Manager Cohen Bids for Mets Stake, WSJ Says

U.S. hedge fund billionaire Steve Cohen is bidding for a minority stake in the New York Mets baseball team, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Cohen, a long-time Mets fan, is worth $7.3 billion, according to Forbes magazine, and through his SAC Capital Advisors LLC manages about $12 billion in assets; the Mets are tring to raise $200 million to pay down debt and cover losses, the newspaper said.
