New York Rangers Clinch NHL Playoff Berth After Carolina Hurricanes Lose

The New York Rangers clinched a National Hockey League playoff berth after the Carolina Hurricanes lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2 in their final regular-season game.

The Rangers secured the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference. Earlier today, New York beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 at Madison Square Garden.
