Elbit, Teva, Allium, Lifewave, Ocif: Israeli Equity Preview
The following stocks may rise or fall in Israeli markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses after the company names and prices are from the last close unless otherwise stated.
The TA-25 Index lost 1.3 percent to 1,317.69 in Tel Aviv.
Allium Medical Solutions Ltd. (ALMD) : The medical technology company’s prostate stent won a medical design award. Allium jumped 11 percent to 0.629 shekel.
Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT) : Israel’s biggest non- government defense contractor filed a $100 million lawsuit in the High Court of Justice of the U.K. against the Government of Georgia for failure to pay amounts due to the company under contracts signed in 2007. Elbit fell 1.6 percent to 187 shekels.
Isras Investment Company Ltd. (ISRS IT): The building company’s board approved the acquisition of OCIF Investments and Development Ltd.(OCIF IT) Separately, Moody’s Midroog lowered its outlook on Isras to “negative” from “positive.” Isras rose 0.8 percent to 130 shekels the last time it traded on April 4. Ocif climbed 4.6 percent to 17.72 shekels.
Lifewave Ltd. (LIFE) : The maker of medical equipment said it raised 2.2 million shekels ($640,465) from a share sale. Lifewave plunged 18 percent to 1.982 shekels.
Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. (TEVA IT): Merck & Co., the second-biggest U.S. drug company, lost a U.K. appeal to reinstate its European patent for the glaucoma treatment Cosopt after a successful challenge by the world’s largest maker of generic drugs. Teva gained 0.4 percent to 176.20 shekels.
