Mitsubishi Chemical to Shut Mizushima Cracker in May, ICIS Says

Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corp. (4188)’s Mizushima plant will halt a naphtha cracker for about six weeks starting in mid-May, chemicals and pricing service ICIS said, citing an unidentified person at Japan’s biggest ethylene maker.

The cracker, which can process 453,000 metric tons a year, is scheduled for repairs from May 16 to June 29, ICIS said.
