Lanka Orix Leasing Rises After Getting Holding Company Status

Lanka Orix Leasing Plc rose the most in almost three months in Colombo trading after saying it got the central bank’s approval to function as the holding company of a group which has expanded into tourism, agriculture, technology, construction and renewable energy.

Colombo-based Lanka Orix rose as much as 9.3 percent and was trading 7.5 percent higher at 125.90 rupees at 11:05 a.m. local time. Lanka Orix said the new structure would help the group “reach a phase of exponential growth in the coming years.”
