Serbian Juice Maker Nectar Mulls Fructal Takeover, Danas Says

Serbian beverage maker Nectar d.o.o is among potential bidders for Slovenian rival Fructal, Danas newspaper reported, citing Nectar General Manager Bojan Radun.

Fructal is being offered by Pivovarna Lasko (PILR) Group d.d. which is seeking about 50 million euros ($70 million) for a 93.7 percent stake in the juice maker, according to the report. The newspaper said Nectar may be competing against Italy’s Aqua Minerale San Benedetto SpA, Germany’s Eckes-Granini Group GmbH, Warsaw-based soft-drink maker Kofola-Hoop SA and local authorities in Slovenia that are keen to keep Fructal a domestic company.
