African Union's Jean Ping Calls for the Cessation of Hostilities in Libya

The African Union called for the cessation of hostilities in Libya and proposed a roadmap for peace in the country.

Libyan citizens have legitimate demands for reform and democracy, the AU’s Jean Ping, president of the commission, said in an e-mailed copy of a speech given in Ethiopia today.
