Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in China trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses as of 10:23 a.m. local time.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks the bigger of China’s stock exchanges, rose 4.18, or 0.1 percent, to 2,952.65. The CSI 300 Index (SHSZ300) gained 0.1 percent to 3,267.61.
Beiqi Foton Motor Co. (600166 CH), China’s biggest commercial-vehicle maker, advanced 4.2 percent to 25.46 yuan after saying net income for 2010 rose 59 percent from a year earlier to 1.65 billion yuan ($251.4 million). The company targets sales of 63 billion yuan this year.
Chongqing Brewery Co. (600132) (600132 CH), a beer maker, added 1 percent to 65.03 yuan after saying net income for 2010 rose 99 percent from the previous year to 361.9 million yuan.
Dalian Thermal Power Co. (600719 CH) slid 5.2 percent to 11.08 yuan after the power supplier said net income for 2010 fell 11 percent to 12.5 million yuan.
Gree Electric Appliances Inc. (000651) (000651 CH), China’s largest maker of home air-conditioners, gained 1.7 percent to 22.81 yuan after saying net income for 2010 rose 47 percent to 4.28 billion yuan.
