Renault’s Ghosn to Play Key Electric-Car Role, Besson Tells TV5

Renault SA (RNO) Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn, who apologized publicly to three senior executives wrongly accused of spying, has a key role in the alliance with Nissan Motor Co. and in an electric-car program, French Industry Minister Eric Besson told TV5 in an interview.

Separately, Besson said he has no fears about a radioactive cloud that could reach France from Japan’s crippled Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant, according to transcripts e-mailed by TV5.
