John Keells Holdings Raises Stake in Union Assurance to 95.6%

John Keells Holdings Plc (JKH), Sri Lanka’s biggest company, raised its stake in Union Assurance Plc (UAL) to 95.6 percent from 80.8 percent, Deputy Chairman Ajit Gunewardene said in a telephone interview today.

John Keells bought about 5.6 million shares in three blocks at 150 rupees apiece, Gunewardene said.
