Ion Beam Applications, Nyrstar, Sipef: Benelux Equity Preview

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Benelux markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are from the previous close.

The AEX-Index (AEX) in Amsterdam declined 2.75, or 0.8 percent, to 356.32. Belgium’s Bel20 Index fell 5.79, or 0.2 percent, to 2,646.32. Luxembourg’s LuxX Index lost 0.4 percent to 1,448.28.

Dutch stocks:

Royal Brill NV (BRILL NA): The Dutch publisher of reference books is scheduled to report full-year earnings after the market closes. Brill dropped 0.5 percent to 13.22 euros.

Belgian stocks:

Ion Beam Applications (IBAB) SA: Europe’s largest maker of proton-therapy equipment may report full-year profit excluding some items of 6.88 million euros ($9.63 million), according to the average of four analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Ion Beam, scheduled to report earnings after the close of trading, retreated 0.5 percent to 8.75 euros.

Nyrstar (NYR) NV: The world’s biggest producer of refined zinc is scheduled to report the take-up of its 490.1 million-euro rights offering and will sell the unexercised subscription rights in a so-called scrip placement during trading hours. Nyrstar advanced 0.7 percent to 10.03 euros.

Sipef NV (SIP BB): The owner of oil palm plantations in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea said its 2,250 euro-a-share offer for the remaining 22.6 percent of Jabelmalux (JBLM) SA will start March 15 and end on April 29. Sipef lost 0.6 percent to 67.95 euros. Jabelmalux last traded for 2,200 euros on March 11.
