South Africa’s FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index (JALSH) fell 684.63, or 2.2 percent, to 30,193.95 at the 5 p.m. end of trading in Johannesburg, its lowest closing price since Oct. 28. The following are among the most active stocks in the South African market today.
Coal of Africa Ltd. (CZA SJ): The coal miner announces interim results. Shares in the company fell 20 cents, or 2.3 percent, to 8.65 rand.
Efficient Group Ltd. (EFG) : The asset-management and research company may announce six-month results through February. Efficient traded unchanged at 5.20 rand.
ELB Group Ltd. (ELR) : The investment trust said net income climbed to 37.7 million rand ($5.41 million) in the six months through December from 13 million rand a year earlier. ELB was steady at 17.75 rand.
Foneworx Holdings Ltd. (FWX) : The provider of data services to the security and consumer-goods market said profit for the six months through December was 9.8 million rand, compared with 9.7 million rand a year earlier. Foneworx was unchanged at 1.11 rand.

Anglo American Plc (AAUKY US) fell 2.4 percent to $24.47. AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU US) slipped 2.1 percent to $46.06. BHP Billiton Ltd. (BBL US) fell 2.1 percent to $72.70. DRDGold Ltd. (DROOY US) lost 5.2 percent to $4.53. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI US) declined 2.6 percent to $17.03. Harmony Gold Mining Co. (HMY US) fell 0.9 percent to $12.29. Impala Platinum Holdings (IMPUY US) dropped 4.3 percent to $26.97. Sappi Ltd. (SPP US) declined 2.2 percent to $4.91. Sasol Ltd. (SSL US) lost 3.3 percent to $51.39.
