Montpelier Re Says New Zealand Quake Losses May Be $75 Million

Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. (MRH), the Bermuda-based reinsurer, said its losses from last month’s earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, may be as much as $75 million.

Losses from floods and a cyclone in Australia in January may be as much as $15 million, the company said today in a statement distributed by PR Newswire.
