Cheniere Energy Hires Two Senior LNG Trading Managers in London

Cheniere Energy Inc. (LNG), the Houston- based liquefied natural gas terminal owner, hired two LNG trading managers based in London.

Helena Wisden, formerly of Spectron Group Ltd., joined Cheniere as a senior trading manager. She will be working on short-term trading and negotiating LNG processing capacity and sales from the Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana, the company said in an e-mailed statement.

Tim Wyatt will become senior shipping and trading manager in April after leaving as a broker at SSY Gas Ltd., it said. Before joining SSY, Wyatt was at Deutsche Bank AG. (DBK)

Cheniere said last year that Sabine Pass may become the first terminal in the continental U.S. to export LNG, citing waning demand for the gas chilled to a liquid amid rising domestic production from shale and other so-called unconventional sources. In November, the company exported liquid gas from Sabine Pass to the U.K., reloaded from storage tanks.

Cheniere has signed memorandums of understanding with companies including Morgan Stanley, Gas Natural SGD SA, Electricite de France SA, Endesa SA and Enel SpA for export and import rights at Sabine Pass.
